Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and certification/registration as a Medical Assistant (e.g. CMA, AAMA, RMA, AMT, NAHP) required.
• One year of work experience in customer service.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience per Johns Hopkins equivalency formula.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate patient information to facilitate encounters.
• Use automated systems for scheduling, pre-registration, check-in/out, and patient flow in a team setting.
• Schedule tests and consultations; relay patient prep information; coordinate visits within and across departments.
• Verify demographics, insurance data, and enter information into the TAP billing system; prepare daily schedules.
