Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree welcomed.
• Phlebotomy certification from ASCP or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in patient service centers is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent phlebotomy and related services for all patients.
• Validate or enter patient demographics and orders into the BILH system.
• Collect specimens by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Prepare specimens for transport to the BILH laboratory.
• Perform clerical duties to open/close the PSC daily; assist in training PSC staff if needed.
• Travel to additional PSC and doctor office sites as required.
