Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a friendly, organized Patient Service Representative for the American Fork Specialty Clinic. You will be the first contact for patients, greeting, checking in/out, and verifying information to ensure smooth intake and care.

You will document calls in EMR, schedule appointments, assist with insurance forms, and help patients with billing and financial assistance while protecting PHI and privacy.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous connections with patients via phone, in person, or secure messaging.
• Document all calls accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Schedule patient visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients by confirming and updating demographic data in registration systems.
• Assist with insurance cards, forms, and billing-related paperwork; explain financial options.
