Job summary

Intermountain Health in Providence, UT is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first contact for patients, greeting them and guiding them through intake, scheduling, and EMR documentation. You will verify demographics, obtain insurance information, assist with billing forms, and help patients understand available financial assistance while maintaining privacy and high service standards.

Qualifications

Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
Basic computer skills, including word processing and data entry.
Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to protect privacy and PHI of patients.

Responsibilities

Greet and check-in/out patients and verify information in the EMR.
Schedule appointments for visits, tests, referrals, and consultations.
Register patients by updating demographic data and insurance details.
Collect insurance cards, IDs, and signatures as required.
Assist patients with forms for regulatory and billing needs; educate on financial assistance.
Proactively request and process payments following procedures.
