Job summary

Neighborhood Health Association (NHA) is seeking a Centralized Scheduler to greet patients arriving for appointments and manage scheduling by phone using our electronic health system in accordance with PCMH standards.

The role requires consistent professionalism, the ability to handle a diverse patient base, and solo work in a fast-paced, confidential environment. You may float between NHA clinic offices and must have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Detail oriented with good time management.
• Pleasant, professional demeanor under stress.
• Ability to relate to a diverse patient population.
• Computer knowledge required.
• Show initiative and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and schedule appointments by phone in the electronic health system per PCMH standards.
• Assist with pre-calls and call reports; confirm, schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments.
• Direct non-scheduling calls to appropriate department or extension; respond to patient inquiries.
• Follow up with patient calls as needed and maintain confidentiality.
• Float between NHA medical clinic offices and travel as required; own insured vehicle with good driving record.
