Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Safety Technician for the CDH Resource Team, full-time evenings, in Winfield, IL. The role provides bedside observation and continuous safety monitoring to patients at risk, with 36 hours per week at 0.9 FTE and hourly pay between $17.05 and $22.17.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Remains at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Provides calming and reorienting conversation with patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Identifies and removes hazards from the patient and environment, reporting as appropriate.
• May assist patient with activities of daily living as delegated by supervising RN.
• Provides continuous safety observation via video monitoring for at-risk patients and supports with belowness and de-escalation as needed.
• Remotely monitors multiple patients via video monitoring and summons staff via pager when appropriate.

Education
