Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Remains at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Provides calming and reorienting conversation with patient during agitation or confusion.
• Identifies and removes hazards from the patient and environment; reports as appropriate.
• Assists with activities of daily living as delegated by supervising RN.
• Provides continuous safety observation via continuous video monitoring and supports comfort and coping strategies.
• Remotely monitors multiple patients via video monitoring and summons staff via communication device/STAT Alert when appropriate.
