Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Safety Observer in Central Massachusetts. The role provides continuous safety observation of assigned patients, ensuring safety and comfort and supporting activities of daily living as directed by nursing.

You will document care, communicate issues to licensed staff, and participate in care team activities. The position involves 8-hour day shifts, potential signing bonus, and a non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification within 6 months of hire required.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains good human relations with patients and families.
• Observes for suicidal and/or violent behavior and maintains patient safety.
• Maintains 15-minute safety checks and documents accordingly.
• Follows directions of the nurse in charge and supports activities of daily living.
