Zusammenfassung

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Safety Observer to provide continuous safety observation for assigned patients. You will participate in activities of daily living support as directed by nursing and document all care interactions in real time.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and CPR certification. This role requires vigilance, empathy, and adherence to hospital safety protocols, with a typical evening shift and 40-hour work week in a hospital environment.

Qualifikationen

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certification within 6 months of hire.

Aufgaben

• Provide continuous safety observation of patients and communicate issues to nursing staff.
• Maintain constant visual contact with assigned patient and ensure safety.
• Monitor visitors to prevent unsafe materials reaching patients.
• Perform 15-minute patient checks and document findings.
• Assist with activities of daily living as directed by nursing staff.
• Serve in a float role to support patient safety across units.
