Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED, or near completion of Health Sciences program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
• Complete hospital-approved de-escalation training during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Direct and closely observe patients under RN supervision.
• Participate in patient rounding as directed by RN.
• Maintain environmental safety and patient transportation within the unit.
• Answer call lights and communicate care issues to RN.
• Restock supplies and transport patients as needed within the department.
• Complete required patient care documentation in a timely manner.
