Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) in Plymouth, MN seeks a patient safety sitter/health care attendant to support patient care under RN supervision. This 24 hpw role runs 11p-7:30a with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include direct patient observation within arm’s length, assisting with rounds, ensuring safety, responding to call lights, transporting patients, and documenting care. Requires a High School diploma and BLS within 3 months; orientation includes de-escalation training

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (or near completion of Health Sciences program).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and de-escalation training during orientation.

Responsabilités

• Direct and continuous observation of patient within arm's length.
• Participates in patient rounding as directed by RN.
• Ensures environmental safety and responds to call lights.
• Transports patients within the department as needed.
• Completes required patient care documentation.
• Utilizes interpreter services for limited English proficiency patients.
