Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a part-time Patient Safety Assistant to provide direct supervision of patients requiring safety oversight and assist with daily living activities. You will work closely with the RN and interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and dignity at all times.

The role requires adherence to infection control practices, proper PPE use, and maintaining a safe, clutter-free patient area, while remaining at the bedside and documenting observations in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Provides direct supervision/line of sight to patients with safety concerns.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, hygiene, feeding, etc.).
• Uses infection control and PPE in practice.
• Keeps patient bedside area clear of hazards and communicates with RN.

Responsibilities
