Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record for patient care to prevent duplicate records and ensure patient safety.
• Check in and register patients, collect demographics and payments, and explain co-pays and responsibilities.
• Explain insurance basics and refer patients to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating appointments and test preparations.
• Provide welcoming, professional customer service and handle inquiries and transportation/logistics as needed.
• Monitor and manage electronic health record work queues per department process.
