You will interact with patients of all ages, perform clerical duties, and collaborate with the cardiovascular team. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong typing, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of medical terminology course preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and typing speed of ~30 wpm.
• Prior reception/clerical experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Familiar with scheduling software and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and ensure accurate data entry for medical records and billing.
• Obtain verbal and written information for computer entry and signatures per SGMC Health policies.
• Verify necessary prior authorizations to ensure proper billing before visits.
• Handle patient reception and telephone coverage; provide clerical support to Cardio-Vascular Institute staff.
• Assist with distribution and filing of patient correspondence and records; support QA/QI/PIN programs.
