Job summary

PRO~PT Physical Therapy is seeking a Registration Clerk to greet patients, schedule evaluations, and manage front-desk duties. You will verify insurance, collect demographics, and ensure accurate data entry within the EHR system.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinic environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• 2 years of experience as a Registration Clerk or in a similar healthcare role.
• Basic computer skills in Google Workspaces and Microsoft products.
• Familiarity with EHR systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance plans.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect/update demographics in EHR.
• Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and required authorizations.
• Explain co-pays, deductibles, and payments to patients.
• Maintain complete patient charts and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and coordinate with staff.
• Resolve registration issues and follow up on inquiries.
• Assist training dept. and order supplies as needed.
