Job summary

PRO~PT Physical Therapy seeks a Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator to warmly greet patients and manage front desk tasks. You will handle check-ins, verify insurance, collect copays, and schedule initial and follow-up evaluations with careful data entry and HIPAA compliance.

The role requires bilingual ability (preferred), experience with EHR, and proficient use of Google Workspace and MS Office. Clinic hours are Mon-Fri, with an in-office environment in Bakersfield, CA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role in healthcare.
• Basic computer skills in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Check in patients, verify insurance, and collect copays as needed.
• Schedule follow-up appointments for patients.
• Distribute and collect forms, assist with filling out forms.
• Document changes in schedules in medical records as needed.
• Answer and transfer incoming calls; provide information to callers.
• Update referring clinics and workers' compensation progress reports.
• Manage prescription log in dashboard.
• Maintain accurate patient records including demographics and history.
• Assist in training staff and ordering supplies.
