Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Registration Representative in Fountain Valley, CA to handle patient registrations for procedures, admissions, outpatient and ER visits. You will verify demographics and insurance, enter data in Epic, and ensure timely payment posting while delivering exceptional service.

Experience in medical offices or admitting roles, familiarity with payer types, and bilingual abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Medical Office/Admitting/Registration or equivalent healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PPO, HMO, POS, EPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal, CalOptima preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese preferred.
• General computer skills including EMR and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for procedures, admissions, outpatient and ER visits.
• Obtain and verify demographic and insurance information for accurate billing.
• Enter notes in Epic and post payments in the cash drawer.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, clinicians and colleagues.
