Job summary

MemorialCare in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking a Registration Representative PD to support patient registrations for procedures, admissions, outpatient and ER visits. You will verify demographics and insurance, post payments in Epic, and ensure accurate patient identification for billing.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, HIPAA-compliant processes, and timely cash handling, with an evening shift in a per diem arrangement. Prior hospital admitting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in hospital admitting or equivalent healthcare setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of insurance payors: PPO, HMO, POS, EPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal, CalOptima.
• Bi-lingual preferred (English/Spanish, or English/Vietnamese).
• Proficient in MS Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately in Epic and verify demographics.
• Collect and post payments and drop in safe or cash drawer.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, clinicians, and coworkers.
• Maintain registration accuracy rate of 95% or better.
• Manage work queues and answer PBX calls professionally.
