Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Pre-Registration Representative in Fountain Valley, CA. The role fuels patient access by collecting demographics, guarantor and insurance details, creating HAR, and verifying eligibility to ensure accurate billing. Full-time, 8-hour day shift. Requires 2+ years hospital admitting experience, excellent communication, and knowledge of various insurance plans.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in hospital admitting setting preferred
• Experience with hospital, government agencies
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Strong knowledge of insurance plans (HMO, PPO, EPO, POS, Workers Comp, Medicare, Medi-Cal)

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers patients timely and accurately collecting demographic, guarantor and insurance information
• Creates HAR and inputs documentation to secure reimbursement
• Verifies eligibility via ERS or payor websites
• Provides excellent customer service to patients and staff
• Attends department meetings and performance improvement activities
• Manages pre-registration work queues to meet daily productivity targets
• Utilizes EPIC, RightFax, OnBase and other tools to complete registrations
• Performs other duties as assigned
