Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Patient Registration to be the first friendly face patients meet when they check into the hospital.

You will help patients navigate the registration process, answer questions with confidence and compassion, and gather accurate information quickly in a fast-paced environment. You will work across multiple computer systems to register patients efficiently, answer phones, gather information, and assist patients who may be ill or anxious.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service experience required.
• Ability to pass background check, drug test, and vaccination requirements.
• Preferred: Medical or healthcare experience (but not required).

Responsibilities

• Register patients across multiple computer systems.
• Answer phones and gather information quickly and accurately.
• Assist patients who may be ill, anxious, or confused.
• Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details (with training).
• Adapt to interruptions from clinical teams during urgent care situations.
• Build rapport and ease patient concerns in real time.
