Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, in partnership with Northern Light Health, seeks a Registration Representative in Bangor, ME to be the first contact for patients and to input demographic and financial data into the hospital system.

The role includes on-site training, cross-team coordination, and a focus on accurate data entry and patient service. A competitive hourly pay range and comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months in office/customer service role, phone or in-person.
• Basic proficiency with Windows applications.
• Able to work 36 hours per week in 3 twelve-hour overnight shifts.
• One weekend per month required.
• Flu vaccination required by policy.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors/patients and provide excellent service.
• Enter/update patient demographic and financial information.
• Obtain forms, ensure signatures, photocopy/scan documents as needed.
• Provide financial responsibility information and collect liabilities.
• Coordinate with Financial Counseling, Scheduling and clinical staff to complete patient encounters.
• Provide directions and hospital information as requested.
• Coordinate admission needs and bed assignments.
• Maintain audit accuracy and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain a safe environment per NLH policies.
• May perform other duties as requested.
