Job summary

Community Health Center of Buffalo Inc. is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to deliver exceptional front-desk service, manage medical records, and support the patient care team in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsibilities include scheduling, registration, eligibility checks, referrals, and coordinating with clinical staff while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity of health records by accurately inputting and retrieving information in the EMR system.
• Schedule appointments, complete pre-registration tasks, verify demographic and insurance information, and ensure accurate billing.
• Identify the need for clinical healthcare staff triage when necessary.
• Coordinate patient flow, ensuring HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the patient care team, provide care coordination services, and contribute to Quality Improvement activities.
• Process prior authorizations, referrals, and provide specialist resource information.
• Track and log patient data accurately.
• Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
