Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Medical or healthcare office experience preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to follow complex written or verbal instructions to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families in person or on the telephone and collect demographic, financial, and medical information to schedule or register for services.
• Obtain authorization, referrals, and collect payments as required.
• Verify third party payer information and obtain necessary authorizations/referrals.
• Document all activity in the computer system and QA notes; scan documents into the PEDS folder.
• Schedule physician or hospital services and confirm appointments two days prior to visits.
