Job summary

Cherry Health, Michigan’s largest Federally Qualified Health Center, seeks a Patient Registration Specialist for the Muskegon Recovery Center. You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect records, schedule visits, and handle payments, contributing to efficient clinic operations.

The role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems. A high school diploma or GED is required, with an associate degree preferred and healthcare experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in healthcare with EMR/EHR systems is preferred.
• Strong communication and patient service orientation required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, collect documentation, verify insurance eligibility, and obtain signatures.
• Enter patient information accurately and process payments for services.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments following scheduling guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and office productivity metrics.
