Responsibilities

• Register patients and update contact and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and print registration forms.
• Demonstrate knowledge of computer fields and insurance systems.
• Answer multi-line phones and schedule appointments.
• Collect patient payments and balance cash drawer.
• Schedule referrals and outpatient testing/procedures.
• Register new patients from referrals and coordinate with referring providers.
• Verify benefits and obtain proper authorization for appointments/procedures.
• Register inpatients from billing census sheets.
• Collaborate with Physician Billing to resolve issues.
• Coordinate care with the health care team to meet patient needs.
