State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.

Responsibilities

Obtain demographic/billing/insurance information and enter into registration and billing systems.
Obtain pre-certification and prior authorizations if applicable.
Prepare consent forms and obtain signatures for privacy practice and treatment.
Collect deposits, co-payments, deductibles, and patient liability payments and document them.
Prepare patient armband for identification.
Balance daily cash receipts and attend to system flags.
Initiate screenings and collect information for coverage; complete paperwork.
Perform medical necessity checks and notify for Advanced Beneficiary Notice as needed.
Schedule, reschedule, or cancel patients according to workflows.
Check orders for completeness and validate against scheduled services.
