Job summary

NeighborHealth Corporation is seeking an Appointment and Referrals Coordinator to support patient services at the Referrals department in Revere. You will gather medical information to schedule visits and secure insurer approvals, acting as a navigator and primary contact for patients and families.

The role requires a HS Diploma/GED with 2+ years in healthcare, EMR experience, and ability to understand managed care benefits. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of EMR systems helpful.
• Able to interpret managed care benefits.
• Spanish language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals with insurers.
• Serve as system navigator for patients and families.
• Explain insurance networks and costs to patients.
• Respond to Epic in-basket messages within 24–48 hours.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams.
• Maintain accuracy in registration and scheduling workflows.
