Job summary

TouchPoint Support Services in Cedar Park, TX is hiring for full-time and part-time Patient Observation Assistant roles. The shift options include 7:00 am–3:30 pm, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, and 11:00 pm–7:00 am with rotating weekends. Previous related experience is preferred; paid training is provided.

The role is based at Ascension Seton Cedar Park with online applications only. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $19.00 per hour, and benefits include healthcare-related options and employee programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification within 30 days of hire if required at the facility.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient's condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Interacts hospitably and supportively with staff, patients, visitors and coworkers.
• Remains at the bedside of the patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Verbally redirects the patient from engaging in at-risk behaviors.
• Assists in calming and/or reorienting patient as needed.
