Job summary

TouchPoint Support Services, part of Compass Healthcare, is seeking a Part Time Patient Observation Assistant at Ascension Seton Northwest in Austin, TX. You will provide visual and audible observation of patients under RN direction and assist with safety and basic patient needs.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior patient experience preferred, and CPR/BLS certification within 30 days if required. Rotating weekends and a willingness to train are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required within 30 days of hire, if required at the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provides visual and audible observation of assigned patients.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Maintains bedside presence and responds to patient needs and safety concerns.
• Escalates to nursing staff for emergencies or concerning situations.
• Assists with maintaining a safe patient environment and assisting with meals and mobility.
