Job summary

Compass Group USA's TouchPoint unit is hiring Patient Observation Assistants for full-time and part-time roles at Dell Seton Medical Center UT in Austin. The positions offer 7:00 am–3:30 pm, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, or 11:00 pm–7:30 am shifts with rotating weekends. The fixed pay rate is $16.00 per hour, with shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• One to two years of previous experience is preferred.
• Current CPR AED or basic life support certification required within 30 days of hire, if required at the facility.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient's condition and behavior.
• Completes observation reports at established interval.
• Remains at the bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Escalates safety concerns to the charge nurse and nursing staff.
• Assists with patient positioning, meals, and ambulation when safe.
• Responds to emergencies and follows department policies and procedures.
