Job summary

TouchPoint Support Services is hiring for full-time and part-time Patient Observation Assistant positions at Ascension Seton Health in Kyle, TX. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour. No prior experience required; schedule varies with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• 1–2 years of previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient's condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established interval.
• Responds to needs with compassionate service and interacts with staff, patients, visitors and colleagues.
• Remains at the bedside of the assigned patient unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Assists in calming and/or reorienting the patient as needed.
• Assists with keeping the patient's room safe and orderly.
