Job summary

Compass Group USA, TouchPoint Support Services, is hiring a Patient Observation Assistant at Ascension Seton Health in Kyle, TX. Full-time and part-time positions with Monday–Friday schedules, rotating weekends; pay $16–$18 per hour. Online applications accepted only.

The role provides visual and audible observation under RN direction, supporting patient safety, meals and mobility, and clear communication with nurses to ensure a safe, healing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification within 30 days of hire where required.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient's condition and behavior.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Remains at the bedside of the patient at all times unless relief is provided.
• Assists with patient nutrition, mobility, and comfort as directed by nursing staff.
• Escalates safety concerns and unusual behavior to the nurse in charge.
