Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring for a Patient Observation Assistant (full time and part time) at Ascension Seton Hays, Bastrop, TX. The role involves visually and audibly monitoring patients, completing observation reports, and assisting with patient safety and comfort under RN supervision.

Schedule options include 7:00 am–3:30 pm, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, and 11:30 pm–7:30 pm; prior related experience is preferred. Fixed pay rate: $18.00 per hour. Online applications accepted only.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• One to two years of previous experience is preferred.
• Current CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification within 30 days if required at the facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the assigned patient's condition and behavior visually and audibly.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Assists with safety, patient comfort, and coordination with nursing staff.
