Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker to support hospital and long-term care settings by coordinating patient diet orders and liaising between patients, Food and Nutrition Services, and Nursing Services.

The role involves delivering patient trays and nourishments, communicating dietary needs, ensuring orders are followed, and maintaining sanitation and inventory on assigned units.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service.
• Delivers nourishments and/or snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian.
• Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Communicates all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures that nutrition diet care orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards and cleaning schedules; completes other sanitation tasks as assigned.
• Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerator, and freezers on assigned units.
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Assists the clinical staff in ensuring all patients' basic nutrition care needs are met.
