Intermountain Health is seeking a leader to oversee patient meal services in a hospital. You will coordinate with nursing to educate on therapeutic diets and supervise daily operations, ensuring compliance with guidelines and delivering high-quality meals at cost-effective levels.

You will manage staffing, training, and performance of caregivers, driving quality improvements and nutrition-focused care across the unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management is required.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• ServSafe certification required by first day of work (Utah/Idaho states only).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases and scheduling software.
• Experience in quality improvement initiatives.
• ServSafe certification within 90 days if not current.

Responsabilités

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Leads education with nursing to meet patient dietary needs and guidelines.
• Coordinates with caregivers to ensure provider orders for diets are followed.
• Implements clinical best practices to deliver care cost-effectively.
• Provides value-based leadership for high-functioning teams and accountable operations.
• Handles HR functions including hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, and disciplinary actions.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors quality and satisfaction scores; develops improvement plans with system-level directors.
• Communicates nutrition expertise with healthcare providers; works with clinical team on diet orders.
