Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an experienced leader to oversee patient meal services in the hospital’s Culinary Service department. This role directs daily operations, implements best practices, and ensures therapeutic diets are observed while maintaining cost-effective service.

The position partners with nursing, manages staff, and drives quality and food safety initiatives to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (in Utah/Idaho).
• Experience leading a diverse team and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Leads education with nursing to meet patient needs while following guidelines.
• Ensures therapeutic diets follow provider orders and trains caregivers.
• Implements clinical best practices to deliver care cost-effectively.
• Provides value-based leadership to build high-functioning teams.
