Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a seasoned leader to oversee patient meal services within the hospital. You will coordinate with nursing, ensure therapeutic diets are followed, and train frontline staff to deliver high-quality meals and exceptional service.

The role requires a Registered Dietitian, strong interpersonal skills, and a focus on safety, quality improvement, and cost-effective operations. 40-hour full-time schedule with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required on first day of work (Utah/Idaho only).
• Proven leadership and strong communication skills.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, scheduling tools, and tracking systems.
• Quality improvement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of patient meal services.
• Collaborate with nursing to educate and address patient dietary needs.
• Lead patient meal areas and train staff on therapeutic diets.
• Ensure diets follow provider orders and safety guidelines.
• Implement clinical best practices to balance care quality and cost.
• Manage HR functions including hiring, training, evaluation and disciplina.
