Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Registered Dietitian to lead patient meal services in a hospital setting. You will oversee daily operations, partner with nursing, and ensure therapeutic diets are followed while delivering high-quality care and cost-efficient service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (Utah/Idaho).
• ServSafe certification obtained within 90 days if not current.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partners with nursing to educate and meet patient needs while following guidelines.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets.
• Implements clinical best practices to deliver care at the appropriate cost.
• Provides value-based leadership to establish high-functioning teams.
• Handles HR functions: hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, discipline.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory guidelines are met.
• Monitors quality and satisfaction scores; collaborates with system-level leaders.
• Communicates nutrition expertise with appropriate healthcare providers.
• Collaborates with clinical team on diet orders and concerns.
