Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine seeks a Patient Navigator to build relationships with new patients and referring offices, coordinating care plans for neurosurgery consultations and education. You will work with physicians and staff to streamline admissions and ensure smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities include handling faxes, calls, mail, emails, imaging requests, and HIPAA-compliant data handling. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to support patients through all phases

Qualifications

• Ability to type 25 WPM and demonstrate basic computer knowledge.
• Maintains professionalism and punctuality.
• Excellent oral, written & telephone communication with tact and customer service orientation.
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
• Maintains relationships with physicians, staff, and hospital personnel.
• Follows policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process all incoming faxes: review records and request missing information.
• Process new patient mail and upload records to the system.
• Handle phone calls from new patients and referring offices, provide information.
• Process online NP requests and respond via email or call when needed.
• Respond to emails and questions from Care Coordinators and imaging requests.
• Respond to voicemails and ensure timely follow-up.
• Coordinate with providers to ensure patient needs are met.
• Maintain detailed records and protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
