Barrow Brain and Spine in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Patient Navigator to build relationships with new patients and referring offices, coordinating a plan of care for neurosurgery consults and providing education and support services.

You will collaborate with physicians and staff to collect records, process referrals, answer calls, manage incoming mail and imaging requests, and guide patients through the process while maintaining HIPAA compliance and delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Two years’ administrative experience in a specialty practice or hospital setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Insurance verification and pre-certification experience welcomed.

Responsabilités

• Process all incoming faxes and ensure required records are received.
• Review records and request missing information from referring offices or patients.
• Answer new patient calls and provide information on process and records needed.
• Process new patient mail, upload CDs to Ambra, and scan records to PDF.
• Respond to care coordinators and process imaging requests.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Provide education and information to patients and families throughout care.
