Job summary

HALO Precision Diagnostics is seeking a Patient Navigator to support patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing, including education, scheduling, specimen collection, and follow-up. This role requires phlebotomy skills and strong coordination with clinical teams to ensure a compassionate, efficient patient experience.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, documentation in EMR/EHR, insurance verification support, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (front or back office).
• Minimum of 2 years of insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with diagnostic or genetic specimen collection.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing process from start to finish.
• Provide education on testing, procedures, and next steps.
• Serve as primary patient contact to ensure a supportive experience.
• Conduct patient consultations for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens for genetic testing.
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transport of specimens.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate data entry.
