Job summary

HALO Precision Diagnostics in Columbus, OH is seeking a Patient Navigator (Patient Support & Phlebotomy) to guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing. You will provide education, coordinate care, and perform phlebotomy within a multidisciplinary team to deliver a compassionate patient experience.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (front or back office).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with insurance verification & prior authorizations.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with diagnostic or genetic specimen collection.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing process from start to finish.
• Provide education on testing procedures and next steps.
• Serve as primary patient contact to ensure a supportive experience.
• Conduct structured patient consultations for clarity and accuracy.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens for genetic testing.
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transport of specimens.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation in EMR/EHR.
