Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Mobility Aide for its IP Physical Therapy department. The role provides direct patient mobility assistance and supports the care team in achieving daily mobility goals.

You will document activities in the EMR and help ensure patient safety throughout transfers and ambulation. The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), BLS CPR certification, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent; must pass clinical competency testing within 30 days of employment.
• Preferred: at least one year of prior healthcare setting experience.
• Must maintain American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.

Aufgaben

• Provide direct physical assistance to patients during transfers, standing, ambulation, and bed activities to meet mobility goals.
• Confirm appropriateness for mobility with the assigned nurse and communicate outcomes to team.
• Use safe patient handling protocols and fall safety measures with mobility devices.
• Assist other clinical staff in multi-person or complex mobilization tasks.
• Document mobility activities accurately in the EMR in a timely manner.
• Participate in orienting and mentoring new mobility aides or student interns on workflows.
• Complete other operational duties including attending department meetings.
