Job summary

MUHA is seeking a Mobility Tech who reports to the Nurse Manager to assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and functional activities, including lifts to chair using lift equipment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CNA certification, and possibly EMT/Paramedic credentials, with ongoing training and compliance in safety and BLS.

The position involves working 36 hours per week on a schedule that includes shifts, with regular on-site duties in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with a minimum of one year of patient care work experience in a health care facility.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification is required.
• Enrollment in a healthcare related program within two years of hire may be required.
• Current MUHA Care Team Member status may be required.
• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant course completion preferred.
• EMT or Paramedic certification is acceptable.
• Nursing students may be eligible if nursing fundamentals are completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ambulation, transfers to/from a chair, and functional activities.
• Support patient mobility under RN supervision and use lift equipment for patient transfers.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain required competency trainings and certifications.
