Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks a Mobility Aide to support patients in daily mobility tasks under nursing supervision. The role involves safe transfers, ambulation, and bed activities, with careful adherence to body mechanics and fall prevention.

You will document actions in the EMR and collaborate closely with nursing, PT/OT, and physicians to promote mobility and safety across the unit. The position requires a high school diploma, 30-day competency testing readiness, and BLS CPR certification,

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required with ability to pass competency testing within 30 days.
One year healthcare experience in a clinical setting preferred.
BLS CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct physical assistance during transfers, standing, ambulation, and bed activities.
Ensure safety and obtain nurse approval before mobility interventions.
Document mobility activities in the EMR promptly and accurately.
Assist other staff in multi-person mobilization tasks and mentor interns.
Attend department meetings and support unit workflows.
