Job summary

Intermountain Health in Denver’s Saint Joseph Hospital seeks a leader to oversee patient meal services within Culinary Services. You will coordinate daily operations, partner with nursing, and implement best practices to deliver exceptional care at a managed cost.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Food Service or related field and a Registered Dietitian credential with strong leadership and communication skills. Strong focus on regulatory compliance and food safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work (Utah/Idaho states).
• ServSafe certification within 90 days if not current.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partners with nursing to educate and ensure guidelines.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets.
• Coordinates with caregivers to ensure diets follow provider orders.
• Implements clinical best practices to deliver care at appropriate cost.
• Provides value-based leadership to build high-performing teams.
• Manages HR functions: hiring, training, evaluating, conflict resolution, discipline.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors quality and satisfaction scores and develops improvement plans.
• Collaborates with clinical team on patient diet orders.
