Job summary

UPMC Passavant is seeking a Food Service Host to ensure guest satisfaction by delivering nutritious meals with strong customer service. The role emphasizes proper food handling, infection control, and timely service in a hospital setting.

Full-Time 40 hours per week with every other weekend and holiday shifts. Located just north of downtown Pittsburgh, off McKnight Blvd, within easy reach of Ross Park Mall.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or hospitality is beneficial.

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures when interacting with customers.
• Operates food service equipment following department procedures.
• Communicates customer concerns with health care team members.
• Performs sanitation for the work area per guidelines.
• Serves patient meals with proper patient identification and timely service.
• Distributes and collects menus, obtaining selections per procedure.
• Demonstrates strong customer service during meal service requests.
• Serves meals within established timeframes and maintains appearance and temperature.
