UPMC Passavant is seeking a Food Service Host to ensure guest satisfaction by delivering nutritious meals with strong customer service. The role emphasizes proper food handling, infection control, and timely service in a hospital setting.

Full-Time 40 hours per week with every other weekend and holiday shifts. Located just north of downtown Pittsburgh, off McKnight Blvd, within easy reach of Ross Park Mall.

Formación

• Experience in food service or hospitality is beneficial.

• Distributes and collects menus, obtaining selections per procedure.
• Demonstrates strong customer service during meal service requests.
• Serves meals within established timeframes and maintains appearance and temperature.

UPMC Passavant is looking for Food Service Hosts. The Food Service Host is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction with food service utilizing customer service skills. Delivers and serves nutritionally appropriate and attractive meals in a timely manner. Practices appropriate food handling techniques and food safety procedures in all aspects of job.

UPMC Passavant is conveniently located just north of downtown Pittsburgh off McKnight Blvd, 10 minutes from Ross Park Mall.

Hours

Full-Time 40 hours per week. Every other Weekend + holiday shift requirements. Further details will be discussed in an interview.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures on a consistent basis when interacting with customers.
• Adheres to department procedures regarding the operation of all food service equipment.
• Communicates customer complaints and concerns effectively with other health care team members.
• Performs sanitation for assigned work area in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines.
• Serves patient meal tray using the designated department script, to include proper patient identification.
• Distributes and collects menus from patients; obtains selected menus from patients according to departmental procedures.
• Displays customer service skills when responding to meal service requests, resulting in a satisfied customer.
• Serves meals within established timeframes, adhering to departmental standards for appearance, food quality, and temperature control.

Work permit required if under 18 years old.
