Job summary

AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL is seeking a Food Service Aide to drive patient satisfaction by delivering meals, assisting with diet orders, and supporting daily foodservice operations. The role requires data entry, ability to follow safety and diet guidelines, and basic computer skills.

High school diploma preferred; Florida background checks may apply. The position focuses on timely meal delivery, patient interaction, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in a hospital food service

Qualifications

• Data entry and computer knowledge incl. email.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and present information to patients and staff.
• Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide; compute ratio and percent.
• Operate hospital food service computer systems and patient-care records.

Responsibilities

• Drive patient satisfaction by rounding on patients and nursing staff; address concerns.
• Deliver meals and late trays accurately and on time per protocols.
• Assist patients with meal ordering and diet modifications.
• Support foodservice operations: stocking, cleaning, preparing food, operating dishroom equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment; perform other duties as assigned.
