Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Registration Clerk to provide exceptional customer service throughout the patient intake process. You will verify medical and insurance information and perform other clerical tasks to support hospital operations.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting demographics and insurance data, documenting daily activity, and handling phone inquiries with accuracy and courtesy.

Qualifications

• Prev. data entry or typing experience.
• Interpersonal skills must be well-developed.
• Initiative and ability to set high performance standards.
• Ability to multitask and work under time constraints.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Greets patients and directs them to appropriate areas.
• Interviews patients or family to obtain demographic and insurance information.
• Documents daily in logbook and records dispositions of patients.
• Files charts for Health Information Management in order.
• Processes placement of patients using bed availability and criteria for specialty areas.
• Answers phone, records messages, and performs related duties.
